Hi...well, i own a c80 that i purchased pretty much when it hit the shelves...I LOVE IT....it prints amazing...i use photo quality ink jet paper, and photo paper, and get nothing but amazing results.....you may have gotten some kind of defective unit or something, cause i honestly would not trade my printer (right now at least) for anything. It is super fast, quiet, and prints amazing on a regular piece of paper, as well as some nice specialty photo paper. I hope this info helps :)
