How much money can I save by refilling my own printer cartridges?

Depending on which cartridge you are refilling the savings can be substantial. You can expect to save approximately 1/5 of the cost of a new cartridge. If you buy larger quantities of ink the savings are even better. To calculate how much money you will save for your particular cartridge please go HERE.

Is your ink as good as the original cartridges?

Our inks are formulated to exacting standards. They are as close to the original ink as you can get without violating the patents. Many of our inks are actually better than the OEM because we improved the formulation where it was needed. We have different formulations for each type of ink. We don't use a one size fits all ink like some nationally advertised company. This is dangerous and it will be a matter of time before this company goes belly up with lawsuits!

Is it difficult to refill my own cartridges?

Each cartridge has its own level of difficulty. Most are a snap and all get easier with practice. All of our refill kits come with detailed step by step instructions. Certain tips are available to make the process simpler. Generally it takes about 5 minutes or less to refill a cartridge.

Will refilling my own cartridges void my printer warranty?

No. Manufacturers of Inkjet Printers depend on the revenue generated by their overpriced supplies to offset the loss from the original printer sale. They practically give the printer away and make it up by raping you when you need a new cartridge. The process of refilling your own cartridges WILL NOT void your printers warranty unless your cartridge leaks all over and shorts something out. This is practically non-existent with our refill kits as long as you follow the instructions.

Can the wrong ink damage my printer?

Yes, it can. If you use a cheap ink not properly formulated for the exact printer that you are using it in it can cause clogs in the print heads. When I say cheap, I don't necessarily mean inexpensive.

How long is the shelf life of your inks?

Our inks will last longer than your printer as long as you keep the caps on the bottles tightly and keep them out of the direct sunlight and in room temperature.

Is refilling my own cartridges a messy process?

If you are careful your mess will be very minimal. You may get some ink on your fingers and you can remove most of it by using either a 50% x 50% solution of bleach and water or Lava® soap. You might want to keep an aluminum turkey pan handy to work in or lay down a garbage bag with a couple of layers of newspapers over that. Ink that gets into your carpet will probably not come out, so with a little care the process should be fairly clean.

How many times can I refill a cartridge?

Each one seems to have its own personality, however, the norm is 8 to 10 times. You can definitely refill your cartridge MORE times if you do it right away before it dries out. Refilling a dried out cartridge is left to the professionals. You will NOT have much luck refilling a dried out cartridge. If you can't get to it right away, seal the holes with scotch tape and store the cartridge in a ziplock plastic baggie and try to remove all the air before sealing the bag.

Are your inks waterproof?

Our inks match the OEM formulation almost exactly. If the OEM ink is waterproof, then so is ours. Generally the inks are NOT waterproof. Dye based inks are not waterproof and pigmented inks are.

Can I purchase my ink in bulk quantities?

Absolutely. Our bulk ink prices are among the BEST anywhere on the Internet. Use ANY search engine or utility and we challenge you to find a lower price on bulk ink than ours. Buy all you need HERE.

Is everything included in your refill kits?

All you need to refill your cartridges is in our refill kits. When you buy our kits you need never buy another. Get our bulk ink after that. When you buy the kits you get all the tools so it's not necessary to buy another one. We also supply tools to simplify the refilling process but they are not necessary, only easier.

What if I have a problem and I can't refill my cartridge?

All we ask is that you give it an honest try. If you follow the directions supplied with our kits most children can do it. Please don't call us until you have given it a try. If you are really stuck we can be reached by email at atlas@dvol.com . Tim is our resident expert on refilling and he will do whatever he can to help you.

Can I set up an account with your company?

We accept Purchase Orders from Schools and Government agencies only.
