Speaking of recycled cartridges, on March 1st we initiated a new program called "Responsible". Our new Responsible remanufactured cartridges
guarantee that your cartridge will work and there is an 800 number printed on every package. If you have any problems with the cartridge
simply call the 800 number and if
we can't get you going on the spot we will send you another cartridge right away AND a free return mailer
so you can return the old one at no additional cost.
Look for the new green label marked "Responsible". When you call you will be asked to provide a number printed on a label on the cartridge.
So be "Responsible", and buy your Earth Day remanufactured cartridges today. It'll give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing that you are contributing to the welfare of the environment!

Speed up your text printing and save ink! How? Simply turn off your color. Use grayscale printing. You see, most printers use what is
referred to as "composite black". Colors are mixed to create a blacker black. That's why your color cartridge goes empty even if you don't
use it. It also helps the manufacturers sell more cartridges. Test it. You'll find that you can usually print a grayscale text document in
one third the time. This feature can be toggled on and off in your print drivers control panel.
Did you know that you can print out a web page without actually going to the web site? All you have to do is open your Favorites folder and
right click on a web site and select print from the menu.
Similarly, you can print a document without opening it. It's easy to add your printer to your "Send To" menu. (accessed when you highlight and right click on any file in a Windows Explorer or My Computer window). Open C:\WINDOWS\SENDTO and create a shortcut there for your printer. Your printer will now appear the next time you access the 'SendTo' menu.
The best preventative maintenance you can do on your inkjet printer is to USE IT? Inkjet printers that are not used very often encounter problems like streaking, white lines through the print and print head clogging resulting
in no print at all. The simple act of printing something, anything at all each
day will add life to your printer.
Turning your printer off when not in use can, and does, help prevent ink drying in the print nozzles. With most ink jet printers there is a 'capping'
mechanism that seals the print head from outside air when it's turned off.
Remember to turn off your printer using it's on/off power switch. This causes the capping mechanism to fully engage against the print head.
Refrain from using a power strip to turn the printer off because the capping
device will not be engaged and the print heads will not be protected.
A quick way to get to your printers control panel while browsing is to type "control panel\printers" (without the quotes) in the address
window
of your web browser and hit enter.
When refilling the HP color cartridge C6578 please follow the instructions
enclosed in our refill kits or use a toothpick to determine the correct color
for the chamber. HP shows color blocks on the label of their color cartridges. They are NOT the correct color order for refilling. HP would not
intentionally mislead the color order... Would they?

Till next time.
Happy printing
